History Teacher – Secondary School

Weymouth, Dorset
Full-time | Permanent (or contract options available)
Competitive salary (MPS/UPS – dependent on experience)

I’m currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Weymouth that is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic ECT looking to develop within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Plan, prepare and assess in line with the national curriculum
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
  • Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress
  • Be a team player with a proactive and positive approach
