As a History Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students and developing their understanding of key historical events, concepts, and perspectives. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, monitoring student progress, and contributing to the continued success of the History department.

The Role

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
• Prepare students for examinations and coursework, helping them achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the History curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Inspire a passion for History through creative and innovative teaching approaches.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has a relevant degree and strong subject knowledge in History.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to raising student attainment.
• Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• ECTs are encouraged to apply.
