Qualified History Teacher – Milton Keynes Area

Full-time | Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)

Are you a passionate and dedicated History Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of learners?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Qualified History Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in the Milton Keynes area.


The Role

As a valued member of the Humanities department, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured History lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Inspire curiosity and a love of learning across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels motivated to succeed

  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and learning through effective classroom management

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning, enrichment, and wider school initiatives

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in History or a closely related subject

  • Experience teaching History at KS4 and/or KS5 (preferred)

  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

  • A genuine passion for education and inspiring young minds
