History Teacher – Liverpool & Surrounding Areas

Location: Liverpool & Merseyside
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026
Pay: Paid to Scale (dependent on experience)
Position: Permanent and Supply available

The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a range of secondary schools across Liverpool and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for both immediate opportunities and September placements.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable), fostering a strong understanding of historical events and critical thinking skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Proven experience teaching History within UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
