Job description

Job Title: History Teacher (Fully Qualified)

Location: Dorking, Surrey
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a fully qualified and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our dedicated and supportive teaching team in Dorking. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a thriving humanities department.

The Role:

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A strong subject knowledge in History

  • Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school setting

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
