We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our friendly Humanities team here in Bournemouth. Our school is committed to fostering curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning—inside and outside the classroom.

This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners who want to inspire young people through engaging, high‑quality teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Teach History across Key Stage KS3/KS4 with passion and clarity.

Plan and deliver creative lessons that spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the past.

Support and challenge students of all abilities to reach their full potential.

Provide meaningful feedback that drives progress.

Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment events, and whole‑school initiatives.

Engage with local history opportunities—Bournemouth’s rich coastal heritage offers exciting possibilities for trips and projects.

A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for History.

A reflective, innovative practitioner who enjoys collaboration.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
