A welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Salisbury is looking to appoint an enthusiastic History Teacher to join their thriving Humanities department from April 2026.

The Role
You will:

Teach engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Inspire students to develop critical thinking, debate and historical enquiry skills
-
Contribute to curriculum planning and wider enrichment opportunities
-
Assess and track progress, providing constructive and motivating feedback
-
Promote high standards of written work, discussion and independent learning
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
-
Be a qualified History Teacher or ECT
-
Have experience teaching GCSE History (or be training towards it)
-
Demonstrate a genuine passion for History and student achievement
-
Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities team
-
Bring energy, creativity and commitment to the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
