History Teacher – Full Time – September 2026 Start

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the SG18 area from September 2026. This is a full-time position offering excellent rates of pay, up to £260 per day, dependent on experience and in line with the teacher pay scale.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes excellent behaviour and engagement.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
• Participate in parents' evenings, staff meetings, and wider school activities.
• Support students' personal, social, and academic development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Previous experience teaching History within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for students.
