Are you a passionate and dedicated History Teacher looking to inspire the next generation? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Secondary History Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious school committed to delivering outstanding education.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) to become part of a supportive Humanities department and help students develop a deeper understanding of the past while building critical thinking and analytical skills.

The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire a love of learning through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress to ensure strong outcomes.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student can succeed.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to departmental success.
  • Encourage students to analyse, evaluate, and understand historical events and their impact on the modern world.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching History within a secondary school environment.
  • Possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Be dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
