Job description

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching journey this January? We are working with a welcoming and well-respected secondary school in Rochdale that is looking to appoint a passionate History Teacher to join their Humanities department on a permanent basis.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to complete your ECT induction in a school that is committed to developing new teachers, with excellent mentoring, ongoing professional development and a supportive leadership team.

 

The Role

 

  • Full-time, permanent position starting in January
  • Teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire a love of History
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • Holds or is due to achieve UK QTS
  • An Early Career Teacher (ECT) specialising in History
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management skills and excellent communication

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
