HLTA Role – Temporary (with potential for a permanent contract)
Pay Rate: £95 – £105 per day
Contract Type: Full-time
Location: Wavertree (L15)
Start Date: October 2025

A large primary school in Wavertree (L15) is seeking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a fixed-term contract from October 2025, with the possibility of the position becoming permanent. The contract is expected to run until the end of the academic year.
The Role:
- Providing cover for PPA and staff absences across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
- Demonstrating and upholding the school’s strong values and vision in day-to-day practice.

- A higher-than-average proportion of disadvantaged pupils, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified to HLTA level (or equivalent).
- Confident working across both KS1 and KS2.
- Experienced in supporting children with SEN.
- Alternatively, an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain further experience across the primary phases before taking on a full teaching role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
