As a HLTA, you will:
✅ Lead learning across the classroom

You will work closely with teachers, support staff and leadership teams while having the opportunity to confidently lead learning and make a real difference every single day.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Teaching & Learning
- Delivering planned lessons across the primary age range
- Covering classes when teachers are absent
- Leading targeted intervention groups
- Supporting literacy, numeracy and wellbeing interventions
- Adapting learning activities to support individual pupil needs
Pupil Support
- Supporting children’s confidence, resilience and independence
- Building strong and positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn
Teamwork & School Life
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Supporting assessment and pupil progress monitoring
- Contributing positively to the wider school community
- Communicating effectively with families and professionals
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for candidates who hold:
✔ HLTA Status or equivalent qualification
✔ Experience working within a primary school setting
✔ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
Relevant qualifications may include:
- Level 4 HLTA Qualification
- CACHE Level 4+
- Foundation Degree in Education or Childhood Studies
- Relevant degree with strong school-based experience
Experience supporting pupils with ALN/SEN is highly desirable.
