Religious Studies Teacher (QTS) – Northamptonshire | September Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher with QTS to join a welcoming secondary school in Northamptonshire from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering engaging Religious Studies lessons and fostering students' understanding of different beliefs, cultures, ethics, and worldviews. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respectful debate within the classroom.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support departmental initiatives.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, achievement, and safeguarding.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of young people.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Two professional references covering the past two years.
