Sturminster Newton Area | Part-Time Opportunities | September 2026 Start | £14.25 Per Hour

Use Your Experience Across Specialist Provisions

Teaching Personnel is recruiting accomplished High Level Teaching Assistants to provide flexible cover across a variety of SEN and SEMH provisions in the Sturminster Newton area.

These assignments offer an excellent opportunity for experienced support professionals seeking flexible working arrangements while continuing to make a significant impact on pupils' educational journeys. Working across multiple settings provides variety, professional development and the opportunity to broaden your specialist experience.

We are looking for candidates who can confidently enter new environments and immediately contribute to maintaining high standards of support and learning.

 

Key Duties

  • Leading planned learning activities.
  • Supporting pupils with additional and complex needs.
  • Delivering interventions and targeted support programmes.
  • Covering lessons when required.
  • Assisting with behaviour management strategies.
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience.
  • Collaborating with teachers and specialist professionals.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting observations.

 

About You

  • Previous HLTA experience or substantial SEN support experience.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of SEND and SEMH provision.
  • Confidence working independently.
  • Flexibility and professionalism.
