One of our partner schools in Wilmslow are looking for an SEN support Teaching Assistant starting in September 2023 until the end of the academic year. The pay for this role is between £1500 - £1700 per month, we are considering applicants of all experience levels but here are some examples of ideal candidates:
- Graduates looking to build their school experience in a great secondary.
- Healthcare workers with experience supporting adults or young people with additional requirements.
- Support staff looking to thrive in a new environment.
- Individuals who have volunteer experience working with people with additional needs.
- Someone who has supported a family member with additional needs.
Our client is a good Ofsted school with the report commenting on the school’s commitment to supporting its pupils with SEN requirements, the report highlights the how the school’s Leadership staff have put in place highly effective systems for their students with EHCP’s and SEMH requirements.
The successful applicant will also provide regular pastoral support, discussing every aspect of their assigned students’ school life. The schools will provide all training surrounding SEN support, safeguarding and EAL.
Examples of key skills and characteristics we are looking for in this role:
- Able to provide in-depth support within the classroom, producing resources that are relevant to specific topics.
- Confidently develop students across many subjects, providing high quality pastoral support.
- Work as part of a wider SEN team, aiming to provide a high standard and engaging learning experience.
- Work in a diverse and multicultural school and be comfortable engaging students whose first language is not English.
The school benefits from having great transport links, with easy access to the motorway as well as many bus routes in and around the city centre. There are also excellent tram links to travel all over Greater Manchester with regular train services running to and from Manchester Piccadilly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
