Teaching Personnel are searching for Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in Secondary schools in and around York. The role is set to start after Easter 2023. The school in question is a mixed 11-16 secondary schools are situated in the York and Selby area.
- Full time Graduate Teaching Assistant needed.
- Earn between £350 - £450 per week.
- Opportunity for role to be made permanent should the school decide.
Our client is looking for someone to provide classroom support to their teachers while also working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Skills our client is looking for:
- Ability to work with students with SEN requirements, which may be Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia to name a few.
- Confident working on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Able to communicate with teachers and the school’s SENCO to help identify which students could benefit from extra support and to discuss if students’ current support needs attention.
There are also various CPD courses available via Teaching Personnel and internally within our client school. Ofsted also reported that the school are ‘ambitious for all pupils.’ The report also highlights that ‘Pupils typically behave well in lessons. Pupils are keen to attain high academic standards and most take pride in their work.’

- Full DBS check.
- 2 references from former employers. (Character references are accepted if you have not had 2 employers.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
