Graduate Teaching Assistants

Are you a graduate who is considering a career in Education?

Would you like to gain experience in a Secondary school before committing to your teaching training?

This is a great opportunity for new graduates who are looking to gain experience before commencing their PGCE or teacher training programme. We are looking for graduates who are keen to work with secondary aged children. The candidates will be placed in a Teaching Assistant role in a school based in Brent and surrounding areas. Although any child based experience would be a bonus, many schools are open to working with graduates without any experience as long as they are proactive and passionate to learn.

You will be supporting children across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Candidates will be placed in a class assisting the teacher with any classroom duties; you may be required to conduct one-to-one or small group activities to support the pupils in their social and academic development.

Requirements

  • Graduate with a degree in any course ( Childhood related is desirable)
  • Confident, pro-active and passionate individual
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure 
  • Experience working with children would be highly advantageous
  • Local to Islington
  • A recent DBS or willing to apply for one
  • 2 References
  • Available 8:30am - 4pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
