Teaching Assistant required for Cardiff Secondary School, starting April 2024.

Teaching Personnel are working with a key client school in Cardiff that are currently looking to fill a Teaching Assistant role starting iafetr the Easter break.
This opportunity will be an invaluable test to your behaviour management skills and confidence within the classroom. The role of a Teaching Assistant will often involve working with pupils with challenging behaviour and supporting on a both social and educational level. If you are looking to gain experience to enhance your future PGCE application, or are a future PHD or Educational Psychologist wanting to gain educational experience then please send over a CV.
Requirements for these Teaching Assistant Roles:
-Previous school based experience desirable but not essential
-You will be paid between £77-£85per day
-Having a positive and proactive attitude is a must
-Holding a driving license is advantageous
-The ability to confidently support various situations that may arise
We have found that Psychology graduates excel in this area as they have gained an understanding of children with challenging behaviour and those with social barriers to learning. These roles can be very rewarding and for the right candidate can be the invaluable experience to develop and grow into a well rounded teaching assistant.
The various Special Education Needs (SEN) you may be supporting with include but is not limited to; Autism, SEMH, SEBD, MLD, SpLD, Speech & Language/Communication needs. These needs all have varying levels and types of support required which can mean your personality and skillset will be a challenged on a daily basis. Here at Teaching Personnel we offer CPD courses throughout the year such as Safeguarding, Team Teach Training and ALN training that can prepare you throughout your journey as a Teaching Assistant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
