Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are looking for graduates who are looking to pursue a career in teaching.

We have a brilliant Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity to join a school serving the surrounding areas of Stockport, Cheadle and Bramhall. Commuting to this school is straightforward merely 10 minutes away from the centre of Stockport which then connects to the entirety of Manchester via train, tram and motorway.

They have multiple resources and areas in the school that have been set up to provide further support to students if they are struggling with mental health or pastoral issues.

The school have a smaller than average student population of 700 with 20% of students requiring SEN support. We are looking for confident individuals who aspire to make a difference in students lives.

This role requires:

• Supporting teachers in class to ensure behaviour is being managed appropriately
• Offering 1:1 support to students who may have moderate SEN, SEMH needs
• Ensuring students are following class content and understanding what is being delivered in the classroom

Role starts April 2023 until the end of the academic year with pay ranging from £350 to £400 a week.
