Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to make a difference in children’s lives while developing their own skills and experience in a school environment.
About the Role:

Supporting pupils in class under the direction of the class teacher
-
Leading small group interventions in literacy, numeracy or other subjects
-
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
-
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
-
Assisting with classroom organisation and general admin tasks
Ideal for Graduates Who:
-
Are considering a career in teaching or education
-
Want to gain valuable, paid classroom experience
-
Have a degree in any subject (education, psychology, English, maths or science preferred – but all welcome!)

Are patient, enthusiastic and confident in working with children
✅ Requirements:

A university degree (2:2 or above preferred)
-
A genuine interest in working with children
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
