Job description
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Levenshulme, Urmston and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching or education, offering valuable classroom experience within a supportive school environment.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects
- Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support pupils’ learning
- Assist students with varying abilities, including those with additional needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- A degree in any subject (core subjects or relevant specialisms desirable)
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach
- Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
