Job description

Location: Birmingham

Salary: DOE

Hours: Full time - 8:30-3:30 

As a Graduate SEN Teacher, you will work closely with experienced teachers and SEN professionals to deliver engaging, differentiated learning to pupils with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

You will help create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of tailored lessons and interventions
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
  • Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and engagement
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Support behaviour management strategies positively and consistently
  • Monitor and record pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A degree in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Science, or a related field
  • A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • An interest in pursuing a career in SEN education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
