Graduate Teacher Internship

Job description

We are looking for bright candidates who are interested in a career in teaching and who are looking for a paid and unrivalled insight into the world of education. Our Future Teachers Programme is a fantastic way to enhance any teacher training applications, or to secure a place on a SCITT course through our partner schools directly. We are now looking ahead to recruit for our April cohort in order to ensure schools are well equipped with high quality Future Teachers to support in the final term.

The Future Teachers Programme is designed to address the shortage of teachers across the UK by providing paid practical experience to bright graduates in our partner schools before they transition onto Initial Teacher Training. It is about ensuring anyone who is considering a career in education is well equipped with the skills and understanding to confidently undertake the training required to become a fully qualified teacher.

We are now recruiting for our Future Teachers Programme in the South Manchester area.

Benefits of the Programme:

  • A fantastic insight into the world of teaching
  • Free online professional development support
  • Hands-on experience of various aspects of the teaching profession
  • Opportunity to support young people in their academic pursuits
  • Unparalleled enhancement of ITT applications

Your placements at our partner schools will equip you with the skills necessary to begin the first stages of your teaching career, and candidates that progress through our Future Teachers Programme are thought of very highly by schools looking to take people onto their own school based ITT (SCITT courses), with one Headteacher stating:

“The graduates have benefited from regular engagement with teachers in the subject area to help prepare them for a career in teaching. A number have gone on to successfully complete teacher training programmes and subsequently been recruited by us in teaching roles, confident that they know the school and we know their capabilities”

If you are interested in applying for our Future Teachers Programme, please upload your most recent CV for consideration.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
