P.E Assistant – Stockport
September 2022
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a P.E assistant to work within one of our mainstream Secondary schools located in the Cheadle area of Stockport. Within this role, you will be assisting the P.E department and working closely with the head of department to organise and prepare PE lessons and support students in class.
This school is known for its high CPD programmes and strong internal growth – once completing their probation period. Therefore, the school is wanting someone who is looking for a long term role with the working hours being from 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday, within this new build there are excellent facilities and teaching aids providing an excellent platform for learning and development of students.
Key aspects of the position:
- Pay will be dependent upon experience but range between £10 - £19 per hour, dependent upon confirmed hours and experience in this area.
- Any experience of mentoring, tutoring or supporting young people is highly desirable.
- Opportunity to gain more experience and assist at a supportive secondary school in the heart of Cheadle
- Graduate TA required on a full-time basis from September 2022
If this applicant is successful, you will be given the details of a specific group that you will be working with that may require more assistance and motivating compared to other students. You may be tasked with providing small group intervention, working with identified students and supporting the teacher for any activities taken place. There is a chance to work with students of all ages and abilities, including KS3 and KS4 (years 7-11 and aged 11-16). If you do have any prior experience with tutoring or in supporting young people. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
