Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an English Graduate Teaching Assistant role in one of our client schools in Wilmslow.  The role will start September 2023 on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year. The role also could be made permanent depending on performance.

The school was deemed Good via its recent Ofsted report, at Teaching Personnel we believe this would be a great opportunity for a graduate to build experience working within a classroom.

  • Earning potential of £385 - £485 per week, dependant on experience.
  • According to Ofsted the school has a good leadership group for you to learn from.
  • Build experience working with a multicultural group of students.

Our client school is looking someone with a real drive to help further educate their pupils’ English abilities. There will be new challenges each day in out client school providing invaluable experience, some of the responsibilities include:

  • Work with experienced teachers and leadership staff.
  • Liaise with teachers, helping to identify which students require extra support.
  • Work with students with SEN requirements; Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and other areas.
  • Opportunity to participate on various personal development courses via Teaching Personnel or within our client school.

Ofsted described the students as ‘polite and well-mannered with positive attitudes.’ The report also talks very positively about the school’s pastoral system, the school always ensures the pupils have an ease of access to learning support and a range of support to ensure they have help to manage their behaviour, emotions and mental health.

  • Local train station a 5-minute walk away with trains running direct from Piccadilly.
  • Links to the A34 with secure onsite parking.

Should you be successful, to be considered you must provide the following:

  • Full DBS check.
  • 2 references from former employers. (Character references are accepted if you have not had 2 employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
