The successful candidate will split their time between supporting students in lessons and covering classes during teacher absences, making this an ideal stepping stone into education.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff.
• Support students across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students who require additional assistance.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
• Assist teachers with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
• Support students with SEND, EAL, and varying learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree educated in any subject.
• Passion for working with young people and supporting education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident managing groups of students.
• Able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
• Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, or school experience is desirable but not essential.
• Considering a future career in teaching or education.
