Graduate Cover Supervisor

 

Location: Chorley

 

Contract: Full-time / Flexible

 

Rate of Pay: From £14.25 per hour (Dependant on experience)

 

 

Looking to gain classroom experience before a career in teaching?

 

 

We’re seeking confident and enthusiastic graduates to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, develop classroom management skills, and make a real impact on students’ learning.

 

The Role

 

As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom in the absence of a teacher, ensuring lessons run smoothly and students stay engaged.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

-          Supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

 

-          Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment

 

-          Supporting students with their work and encouraging participation

 

-          Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

 

-          Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour

 

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

-          A recent graduate (any subject considered)

 

-          Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

 

-          Strong communication and confidence leading a classroom

 

-          Ability to engage and motivate young people

 

-          Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach

 

-          Interest in education or a future teaching career (desirable)
