An exciting opportunity to work within the Humanities department of a vibrant and modern secondary academy.

  • Full-time Geography teacher.
  • Required to start from September 2020 or earlier.
  • Teaching pupils across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Paid to teaching scale (GBP24,373-GBP40,490).
  • Secondary academy based in Salford.

Our client academy is currently looking for a teacher to join the Humanities department in the new academic year due to a restructure with the timetable.

The school has been recently refurbished and has been noted for a recent progression in performance tables. The school has around 1000 pupils on roll including several pupils with learning difficulties or special educational needs.

The incoming teacher will be expected to take on planning and marking responsibilities alongside delivering Geography lessons to pupils up to GCSE level. The successful teacher will need to prepare and deliver differentiated Geography lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning abilities including those with learning difficulties and special educational needs.

The school is based within Salford and is easily accessible via the M62 and A580 from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Worsley and Leigh. For teachers without access to their own transport, the school can be accessed via several forms of public transport from neighbouring areas of Salford.
