Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
Are you an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher seeking a new opportunity from September? Teaching Personnel is working with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Wincanton that is looking to welcome a passionate Geography Teacher to its Humanities department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Geography and enjoys inspiring students to understand the world around them. You will be joining a supportive school environment where staff work together to deliver engaging lessons and encourage students to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Developing students' geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and critical thinking.

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
-
Promoting high standards of behaviour, effort and academic achievement.
-
Working closely with colleagues across the Humanities department.

Supporting the wider life of the school through enrichment and extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally:
-
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
-
Have a strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum.

Be confident planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
-
Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
-
Have excellent communication and organisational abilities.
-
Be committed to supporting students' academic and personal development.

Work effectively as part of a collaborative department.

Have a genuine enthusiasm for Geography and inspiring the next generation.
