Geography Teacher – Full Time (Maternity Cover)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting ASAP until 18th December 2026 (anticipated).
This role would suit a Geography subject specialist, ideally with a qualification in the subject, who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students to engage with the world around them.

The Role:
The successful candidate will take on full teaching responsibility, including:

Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4

Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Marking, assessment, and providing meaningful feedback to support pupil progress

Managing a tutor group and contributing to pastoral care

Taking part in wider school duties and departmental responsibilities

Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate:
-
A qualified Geography Teacher (QTS preferred)
-
A Geography specialist, ideally with a relevant degree or qualification
-
Confident teaching across the secondary age range
-
Committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
-
Able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
-
ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
