Geography Teacher – Full Time (Maternity Cover)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting ASAP until 18th December 2026 (anticipated).

This role would suit a Geography subject specialist, ideally with a qualification in the subject, who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students to engage with the world around them.

The Role:

The successful candidate will take on full teaching responsibility, including:

• Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum

• Marking, assessment, and providing meaningful feedback to support pupil progress

• Managing a tutor group and contributing to pastoral care

• Taking part in wider school duties and departmental responsibilities

• Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Geography Teacher (QTS preferred)

• A Geography specialist, ideally with a relevant degree or qualification

• Confident teaching across the secondary age range

• Committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour

• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
