We’re Hiring: Secondary Geography Teachers in Bristol

Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time / Part-Time | Flexible Supply with Permanent Opportunities | Key Stage 3 & 4

Do you believe Geography is about more than maps and locations? That it helps students understand the world, global issues, and their place within it?

We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Geography Teachers in Bristol who are seeking flexible supply work, with the opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles.


✅ The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teach key topics including physical geography, human geography, and environmental issues

  • Encourage critical thinking and global awareness

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND

  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a supportive learning environment

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively with humanities departments, support staff, and parents

  • Gain experience across a range of school settings through supply placements


✅ Who This Role Suits:

  • Qualified Geography Teachers (QTS or equivalent)

  • ECTs/NQTs looking to build experience across different schools

✅ Experience & Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or pending QTS

  • Degree or strong subject knowledge in Geography or a related field

  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and/or KS4 (including during training)

  • Confident classroom management and communication skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments

  • Commitment to inclusive and high-quality education

  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS (or willingness to apply)
