Geography Teacher
Job description
A well-established mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department on a full-time basis from April 2026.
This role would suit either an experienced Geography Teacher or an ECT, with the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-planned lessons that inspire students to develop a strong understanding of physical and human geography, as well as key geographical skills.
The Role:

Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4

Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
-
Assessing and monitoring pupil progress effectively

Contributing to the wider Humanities department and school community

Maintaining high standards of classroom practice and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it

Have strong subject knowledge in Geography

Be passionate about engaging and inspiring young people

Demonstrate confident classroom and behaviour management
-
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
