Classroom Assistant – Primary School

No prior classroom experience is required—if you’ve worked with children in any setting, your skills are highly transferable.

The Role

• Support pupils in class on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist the teacher with lessons and classroom activities
• Help manage behaviour and keep pupils engaged
• Support children with additional needs where required
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interaction
• Assist with general classroom organisation

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, including those with experience in:

• Sports coaching or team leadership
• Youth work or community settings
• Childcare, nursery work, or babysitting
• Psychology or education graduates/students

• Driving is beneficial but not essential
• An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to apply for one)
