Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their academic potential? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic GCSE Tutor to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to students in the York (YO26) area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners who may need additional help building confidence, preparing for GCSE exams, or catching up with their studies. The role offers flexible, part-time hours, making it ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, or education professionals seeking work during school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one GCSE tuition sessions.
  • Plan and tailor lessons to meet each student's individual learning needs.
  • Support students in improving their knowledge, confidence, and academic performance.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE students.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, Science, or another GCSE subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to learning.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
