GCSE Tutor – Chester (CH3)

Location: Chester, CH3
Role: GCSE Tutor
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Part-time, weekdays during school hours

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic GCSE Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity in Chester?

We are looking for a dedicated tutor to provide personalised GCSE tuition, helping students build confidence, strengthen their subject knowledge, and achieve their academic goals.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and personalised GCSE tuition.

  • Support students with their subject knowledge and exam preparation.

  • Plan lessons around individual learning needs and abilities.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles.

  • Build positive relationships and encourage student engagement.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Work closely with the school and wider support team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' teaching/tutoring experience within the UK curriculum.

  • Strong experience teaching GCSE-level students.

  • Experience supporting SEN learners is essential.

  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.

  • Positive behaviour-management and classroom-management skills.

  • QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Right to work in the UK.
