GCSE Tutor – Carlisle (CA3)

Location: Carlisle, CA3
Hours: Part-time | Weekdays | School Hours
Pay: £25–£30 per hour (depending on the placement)

Are you an experienced GCSE Tutor with a passion for helping students achieve their full potential?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor to provide high-quality, personalised tuition to students preparing for their GCSEs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in building confidence, improving attainment, and reaching their academic goals.

The Role

As a GCSE Tutor, you will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE lessons tailored to each student's learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles and abilities.
  • Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations by developing subject knowledge and exam techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and session outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE students.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, Science or another GCSE subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH is advantageous.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
