This programme is ideal for those who want to gain real school experience before committing to a PGCE or formal teacher training. You will work in a school setting, supporting teachers and pupils, gaining first‑hand insight into what teaching is really like, while building the confidence and skills needed to progress into training.
From day one, you’ll receive tailored support and guidance focused on classroom practice, behaviour management and professional development. The experience you gain is highly valued by teacher training providers and will strengthen future applications, giving you a clear advantage when applying for training routes the following year.
The Future Teachers Programme is designed specifically for graduates who are passionate about education and motivated to make a difference, but who want exposure to school life before taking the next step. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
