Functional Skills Tutor – Swindon
£20–£30 per hour | Part-Time & Flexible Hours
SEN / SEMH Experience Essential
Are you an experienced Functional Skills Tutor with a passion for supporting students with additional needs? TP-Tutors is looking for skilled and compassionate tutors to join our growing team in the Swindon area.
About the Role:
We’re seeking dedicated tutors who can assess, plan, and deliver personalised Functional Skills sessions in English and/or Maths. You'll be working with students who may have a range of SEN or SEMH needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-
Anxiety or Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
Sessions may take place in a home, school, or community setting—or online—depending on the needs of the student. Your role will be to help learners progress toward their qualifications with a tailored, patient, and structured approach.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years’ tutoring or teaching experience
- Proven experience working with SEN or SEMH learners
- Strong ability to tailor content to individual learning levels and exam boards
- A calm, empathetic and adaptive teaching style
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
