Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a committed and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to work on a one-to-one basis with a Key Stage 3 pupil in Nottinghamshire. This role is part of our ongoing work supporting vulnerable young people across the region, many of whom require additional support with behaviour and engagement.
We are particularly interested in hearing from educators with a background in behaviour management, and who are confident delivering tailored Functional Skills sessions that support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver personalised Functional Skills lessons suited to the student’s learning level and individual needs

Provide consistent, structured behavioural support in a one-to-one setting
-
Foster a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
-
Track and encourage academic and personal development over time
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with young people who present with behavioural challenges
-
Confident teaching Functional Skills at KS3 level
-
Able to work independently and build positive, professional relationships with pupils
-
Holds or is willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
