Fully Qualified Science Teacher – South Liverpool

Start Date: Immediately

Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm

Location: South Liverpool

Pay Scale: M1 – UPS3

Mainstream Secondary School | KS3–KS5 | Temp-to-Perm | Immediate Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher to join a reputable mainstream secondary school in the South Liverpool area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator looking for a long-term role with the prospect of becoming permanent.

About the Role

You will deliver engaging and high‑quality Science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, supporting students of all abilities and contributing to strong departmental performance. A Combined Science Teacher is preferred; however, subject specialists in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are equally encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering outstanding Science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Supporting students through GCSE and A‑Level content
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Contributing to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school life
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Has experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
  • Is confident teaching up to A‑Level
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
  • Is committed, professional, and passionate about student achievement
  • Can start immediately and is open to a temp-to-perm pathway
