Full-Time Teaching Assistant (SEND Experience Required)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the CB2 area of Cambridge. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping every pupil reach their full potential.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Previous experience working within a UK school setting
- Extensive experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- In-depth SEND training and a strong understanding of a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
- An excellent command of spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The right to work in the UK
The Role
As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions and learning activities
- Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and social skills
- Assist with classroom preparation and daily learning activities
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
