Help Students Develop Creativity and Practical Skills Through Food Technology

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a secondary school in Stafford who are looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

The school provides a supportive learning environment where practical subjects are valued and students are encouraged to develop creativity, independence, and confidence. Staff are encouraged to contribute to wider school life and help students develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Food Technology specialist who enjoys creating engaging lessons and helping students develop both practical ability and theoretical understanding.

The Role

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
  • Support students in developing cooking, preparation, and design skills.
  • Ensure students understand health, safety, and food preparation standards.
  • Plan lessons that encourage creativity and independent learning.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and positive practical learning environment.
  • Work alongside colleagues to support curriculum development.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary setting.
  • Has strong subject knowledge and practical experience.
  • Can inspire students through engaging lessons.
  • Has good classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Is organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
  • Is passionate about developing students’ confidence and skills.

To Be Eligible For This Role Through Teaching Personnel, You Must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
