Food Technology Teacher

 

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Salary: £130 - £150 a day

Start Date: Immediate / Flexible

 

A highly successful Secondary School located in Southampton, Hampshire is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their dedicated team!

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing school environment with Outstanding Ofsted ratings.

 

The Role

This is initially on a substitute teacher basis, with the opportunity to go permanent in the future!

As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for supervising pre-prepared lessons, maintaining a calm and purposeful classroom environment, and ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning. You will also be expected to follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies, collect completed work at the end of lessons, and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

Those working as substitute teachers with Teaching Personnel benefit from a flexible working schedule, with both pre-booked and short-notice opportunities available. Weekly pay is processed every Friday through PAYE, and you will receive ongoing support from a dedicated personal consultant.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Ability to support those with SEN within a mainstream setting
  • Confident and adaptable in the classroom
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and contributing positively to school life
