Food Technology Teacher
Job description
A welcoming and well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Christchurch is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department from April 2026 on a part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons that develop creativity, independence, and a strong understanding of nutrition and healthy living. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and collaborative department that is committed to high standards of teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Have experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4

Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical learning

Be committed to maintaining high standards of classroom management and student progress

Have the ability to contribute positively to the wider school community
This role would suit an experienced teacher seeking a part-time position or an Early Career Teacher looking to develop their practice within a supportive secondary setting.
