Job description

A vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department on a full-time basis from January 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire creativity and practical skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that promote healthy eating, nutrition, and a love for cooking. The successful candidate will work within a supportive department that values collaboration, innovation, and high standards of teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS or equivalent) 
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 
  • Be passionate about promoting practical learning and life skills 
  • Be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment 
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
