We are looking for Flexible Teaching Assistants with immediate availability!

Contract: Flexible – Day-to-Day, Short-Term, Long-Term
Daily Pay Rate: £89.44 - £100 (Dependant on experience)
Location: Primary and Secondary Schools across Wigan and Warrington

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit Flexible Teaching Assistants to support our partner schools across Wigan and Warrington.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a flexible basis, choosing when and where you work to suit your availability. Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to gain valuable classroom experience, we can offer you regular work in supportive schools with a variety of settings and age groups.

As part of Teaching Personnel, you will have the chance to work in different schools, support diverse pupils, and play a key role in creating positive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in primary and secondary classrooms.
• Deliver tailored support to individual pupils and small groups.
• Assist children with additional needs, including SEND, EAL, and social-emotional challenges.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and support staff.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings, following school policies and routines.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or CACHE) are beneficial but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• Experience working with children or young people (in schools or similar settings) is desirable.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to travel to different schools across Wigan and Warrington.
• Passionate about supporting pupil development and learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and sensitively.
