Job description

Teacher needed – Specialist Further Education Provision

Blackpool FY4

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Teacher to join a specialist Further Education setting in Blackpool, supporting post-16 learners with additional needs. The successful candidate will work across two classes of approximately 20 learners, delivering a curriculum focused on Functional Skills Maths and English, alongside life skills, employability skills and vocational learning pathways. The role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people develop the skills and confidence needed for adulthood and future employment.

The role:

  • Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English
  • Support learners in developing life and employability skills
  • Contribute to vocational learning programmes
  • Adapt teaching and learning to meet a range of additional needs
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive outcomes
  • Work closely with a supportive and experienced staff team

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or HLTA qualification. ECT's also welcome to apply
  • Experience working within SEN, FE or alternative provision settings
  • A flexible and engaging approach to teaching and learning
  • Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS, or willingness to obtain one
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
