Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young children at the very start of their education journey?

We are seeking a committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team from September. This role will involve working closely with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage who are not yet school ready and are currently in the process of receiving a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) diagnosis.

About the Role

You will:

  • Provide tailored support to children with emerging additional needs in Nursery/Reception
  • Help pupils develop key skills in communication, social interaction, and early learning
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
  • Support the implementation of individual support plans and interventions
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young children, ideally within EYFS
  • Has knowledge or experience of supporting children with SEND (e.g. speech and language needs, autism, developmental delay)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Can adapt approaches to meet individual needs
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate with suitable experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
