About the Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Burnley. This full‑time role involves supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and working closely with class teachers to deliver high‑quality learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early years education, strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS lessons and activities
- Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support
- Help create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well‑being in young learners
- Contribute to classroom organisation and behaviour management
- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents
Requirements
- An EYFS‑related qualification at Level 2 or above (essential)
- Experience working within an EYFS or primary school setting
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
- A positive, compassionate, and proactive approach
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children’s development
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding knowledge (training can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
