Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Wallasey, The Wirral
Start Date: Expected late May/June
Role Type: Temporary / Ongoing (subject to confirmation)
A welcoming Primary School in Wallasey is currently looking to appoint a committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to support their 2‑year‑old provision, with a start date anticipated later in May.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years professional with strong EYFS experience, particularly within nursery or 2‑year‑old settings—who is passionate about providing warm, nurturing, and child‑centred support during the earliest stages of development.
The Role:
- Supporting children within a 2‑year‑old Early Years setting
- Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene
- Supporting learning through play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework
- Working closely with the Nursery Lead and wider EYFS team
- Encouraging children’s emotional, social, and developmental growth
- Ensuring safeguarding, health, and welfare requirements are consistently met
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working in Early Years, ideally with 2‑year‑olds
- Be confident and comfortable supporting personal care needs
- Have a calm, caring, and patient approach
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Be reliable, proactive, and professional
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS registered on the update service
